The Gorakhpur Book Festival is set to take place from November 1 to 9 at Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. Organized in partnership with the National Book Trust (NBT), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, this vibrant nine-day event will feature a rich blend of literature, culture, music, art, and engaging discussions, complemented by book stalls and a delightful food court showcasing local flavors.
On Wednesday, Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon met with NBT Director Yuvraj Malik and his team to oversee preparations. Prof. Tandon emphasized that the festival aims to be a landmark event for Gorakhpur and the broader Purvanchal region. Inspired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the university is fully committed to making this event a cultural milestone, with the team working diligently to ensure its success.
